VILLAGE OF ALLEN
BOARD OF TRUSTEES
October 11, 2021
The Village Board of Trustees met in regular session October 11, 2021 at 7:30 p.m. in the Allen Village Office. Chairman Jay Jones called the meeting to order with Trustees Judy Nice, Brett Koeppe, Doug Ellis, and Dean Chase answering roll. Also present were Roger Protzman of JEO, Rick Chase and Clerk Jean Rahn. Chairman Jones informed the audience where to find the posted copy of the Open Meetings Act. Motion was made by Nice seconded by Koeppe to approve the minutes of the last meeting. All present voted aye, motion carried. Motion was made by Chase seconded by Nice to accept the treasurers’ report as read. All present voted aye, motion carried. The following bills were presented for approval US Treasury 1323.04, NNPPD –1561.35, NNTC – 206.10, Aramark-69.12, L.P Gill – 704.00, Nebraska Journal Leader – 246.18, Nebraska Public Health Lab –33.00, Nebraska Dept. of Revenue – 621.46, Payroll Salaries – 5425.12, Countryside Gas & Grocery – 468.62, BCBS – 3510.43, Chesterman Co – 7.00, One Call Concepts – 4.22, Post Office – 116.00, AMGL – 3425.00, Ellis Home Service – 55.00, Miller Building Supply – 9.99, Nebraska Dept. of Revenue – 588.03, True Value – 17.94, Lorensen Lumber & Grain – 24174.00, Bevelhymer Const. LLC – 17952.00, Johnson & Mock PC LLC – 1285.77, Midwest Lab – 19.83, Ekberg Auto – 77.99. Motion made was made by Ellis, seconded by Nice to pay the bills as listed. All present voted Roger Protzman from JEO discussed our nitrate issue and what our options are.
Furnace bids were discussed. Motion by Koeppe, seconded by Nice to accept the bid from Mike’s Heating and Cooling. All present voted aye, motion carried.
Building permit #2-2021 was presented. Motion made by Chase, seconded by Nice to allow the permit. All present voted aye, motion carried.
Other item discussed were nuisance properties, a letter will be sent to all property owners.
Being no further business, Ellis made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Nice. All present voted aye, motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 9:11 p.m. The Board of Trustees of the Village of Allen, Nebraska will meet in regular session at 7:30 p.m. on November 8, 2021 in the Village Office.
