BOARD OF TRUSTEES

June 13, 2022

The Village Board of Trustees met in regular session June 13, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. in the Allen Village Office.  I Chairman Jay Jones called the meeting to order with Trustees Judy Nice, Brett Koeppe, and Doug Ellis answering roll.  Absent – Dean Chase.  Also present were Rick Chase and Clerk Jean Rahn.  Chairman Jones informed the audience where to find the posted copy of the Open Meetings Act.  Motion made by Koeppe seconded by Nice to approve the minutes of the last meeting.  All present voted aye, motion carried.  Motion made by Koeppe, seconded by Judy to accept the treasurers’ report as read.  All present voted aye, motion carried. The following bills were presented for approval US Treasury – 1453.24, taxes, NNPPD –1486.68, elec., NNTC – 207.96, tele/internet Aramark- 78.90, sup, L.P Gill – 878.08, landfill, Nebraska Journal Leader – 54.56, pub, Nebraska Public Health Lab –65.00, tests, Nebraska Dept. of Revenue – 411.52, tax, Payroll Salaries – 6027.70, wages, Countryside Gas & Grocery – 681.25, fuel/sup, One Call Concepts – 5.94, serv., Chestermans – 7.00, water,  JEO – 8000.00, admin, Barco – 319.84, sign, Cardmember Services – 92.30, sup., NDEE – 18060.17, loans, Shelly Jones – 105.31, sup., Meyer Inc – 200.00, mulch, Johnson Mock – 58.50, legal, CSL – 1581.05, chem., Strivens Sewer Pumping – 450.00 serv., Topkote – 22001.47, repairs, Allen- Waterbury Fire Dept – 1997.91, MFO, Alpine Lawn – 1400.00, serv., Rod’s Repair – 195.05, repairs, Lux Bros Inc – 1507.50, serv., Share Corp – 1356.27, chem. Board Member Payments – 750.00, quarterly pmt. Motion made by Nice, seconded by Koeppe to pay the bills as listed.   All present voted aye, motion carried.  Motion by Koeppe, seconded by Nice to allow Jean to transfer $40,000.00 from the General Savings account to the checking account to cover the expenses.  All present voted aye, motion carried.

Building permit #4-2022 was presented.  Motion made by Nice, seconded by Koeppe to allow the permit subject to meeting setback guidelines. All present voted aye, motion carried.

Building permit #5-2022 was presented.  Motion made by Koeppe, seconded by Nice to allow the permit.  All present voted aye, motion carried.

Building permit #6-2022 was presented.  Motion made by Koeppe, seconded by Nice to allow the permit.  All present voted aye, motion carried.

Discussion was held on properties and vehicles, Jean will contact attorney.

Discussion was held on maintenance job description and updating the personnel policy.  Motion by Nice, seconded by Koeppe approve the updated personnel policy.  All present voted aye, motion carried.

Propane contract was discussed.  Motion by Koeppe, seconded by Ellis to contact $5000.00 with Butch’s Propane. All present voted aye, motion carried.

Other items discussed were lagoon permit, bulk water, and AMGL contact.  Motion by Ellis, Seconded by Nice to allow Jay to sign the contract for the upcoming budget.  All present voted aye, motion carried.

Being no further business, Ellis made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Koeppe.  All present voted aye, motion carried.  Meeting adjourned at 8:42p.m.  The Board of Trustees of the Village of Allen, Nebraska will meet in regular session at 7:30 p.m. on July 11, 2022 in the Village Office.
