VILLAGE OF ALLEN

BOARD OF TRUSTEES

January 10, 2022

The Village Board of Trustees met in regular session January 10, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. in the Allen Village Office.  Chairman Jay Jones called the meeting to order with Trustees Judy Nice, Brett Koeppe, and Doug Ellis answering roll.  Absent – Dean Chase.  Also present were Rodney Strivens, Rick Chase and Clerk Jean Rahn.  Chairman Jones informed the audience where to find the posted copy of the Open Meetings Act.  Motion was made by Ellis seconded by Koeppe to approve the minutes of the last meeting.  All present voted aye, motion carried.  Motion was made by Koeppe seconded by Nice to accept the treasurers’ report as read.  All present voted aye, motion carried.  The following bills were presented for approval US Treasury 1476.20, payroll taxes, NNPPD –1581.74, elec., NNTC – 207.99.  services, Aramark-103.68, sup, L.P Gill – 645.04, landfill, Nebraska Journal Leader – 58.76, pub, Nebraska Public Health Environmental Lab –33.00, tests, Nebraska Dept. of Revenue – 391.582, sales tax, Payroll Salaries – 6001.50, wages, Countryside Gas & Grocery – 329.86, fuel, BCBS – 3602.97, ins., Chesterman Co – 7.00, water, One Call Concepts – 1.15, locates, Spahr Electric – 1076.89, repairs. DED – 1280.52, repayment, NE Dept. of Revenue – 734.44, SW, Johnson & Mock PC LLO – 234.00, legal, Vern Wilson – 126.00, labor, Share Corp – 1429.28, chemicals, Cardmember Services – 274.14, fuel, Cardmember Services – 30.97, supplies, Allen School – 520.00, licenses.  Motion made was made by Ellis, seconded by Koeppe to pay the bills as listed. All present voted aye, motion carried.

Discussion was held with Rod Strivens concerning radios for the fire department.  Tabled.  Also discusses was replacing batteries in the siren.

Pump house furnace was discussed, Rick will check into getting a furnace.

Resolution #1-2022 was read:  A resolution of the Village of Allen, Nebraska, declaring a nuisance at West 75’ of Lots 17 and 18, block 8, Original Town, Village of Allen Dixon County, Nebraska and ordering the abatement thereof.  Motion by Koeppe, seconded by Nice to adopt Resolution #1-2022.  All present voted aye, motion carried.

Being no further business, Ellis made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Koeppe.  All present voted aye, motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 8:05 p.m.  The Board of Trustees of the Village of Allen, Nebraska will meet in regular session at 7:30 p.m. on February 14, 2022 in the Village Office.
