BOARD OF TRUSTEES

February 14, 2022

The Village Board of Trustees met in regular session February 14, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. in the Allen Village Office.  Chairman Jay Jones called the meeting to order with Trustees Judy Nice, Brett Koeppe, Doug Ellis, and Dean Chase answering roll.  Also present was Clerk Jean Rahn.  Chairman Jones informed the audience where to find the posted copy of the Open Meetings Act.  Motion was made by Ellis seconded by Koeppe to approve the minutes of the last meeting.  All present voted aye, motion carried.  Motion was made by Ellis seconded by Nice to accept the treasurers’ report as read.  All present voted aye, motion carried.  The following bills were presented for approval US Treasury 1425.88, payroll taxes, NNPPD –1691.24, elec., NNTC – 201.26.  services, Aramark-69.12, sup, L.P Gill – 926.10, landfill, Nebraska Journal Leader – 54.79, pub, Nebraska Public Health Environmental Lab –33.00, tests, Nebraska Dept. of Revenue – 390.02, sales tax, Payroll Salaries – 5711.65, wages, Countryside Gas & Grocery – 373.94, fuel, BCBS – 3602.97, ins., Chesterman Co – 7.00, water, Johnson & Mock PC LLO – 97.50, legal, , Cardmember Services – 99.72, fuel, Cardmember Services – 711.74, supplies, JEO – 7250.00, prof., Justise Fire & Safety – 446.47, maint., Layne Christensen – 250.00, maint., Petty Cash – postage, Softline Data – 29.310 sup., Claypool Brothers – 400.00, repairs, NE NE Clerks Assn – 20.00, dues, Mike’s Heating & Cooling – 6840.00 furnaces, Allen-Waterbury Fire Dept.- 11997.91, MFO, Post Office – 330.36, postage.  Motion made was made by Koeppe, seconded by Chase to pay the bills as listed. All present voted aye, motion carried.

Discussion was held on removal of trailer.  Motion by Chase, seconded by Koeppe to extend the time for removal to April 11, 2022.  All present voted aye, motion carried.

Other items discussed were culverts, lien, and insurance.

Being no further business, Ellis made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Nice.  All present voted aye, motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 8:14 p.m.  The Board of Trustees of the Village of Allen, Nebraska will meet in regular session at 7:30 p.m. on March 14, 2022 in the Village Office.
