VILLAGE OF ALLEN
BOARD OF TRUSTEES
April 8, 2024

The Village Board of Trustees met in regular session April 8, 2024 at 7:30 p.m. in the Allen Village Office. Chairman Jay Jones called the meeting to order with Trustees Judy Nice, Brett Koeppe, Dean Chase, and Derick Nice answering roll. Also present were Matt Munderloh, Nick & Lindsay Tramp, Mark Jorgensen, Gunner Tracy, and Clerk Jean Rahn. Chairman Jones informed the audience where to find the posted copy of the Open Meetings Act. Motion made by D. Nice seconded by B. Koeppe to approve the minutes of the last meeting. All voted aye, motion carried. Motion made by D. Chase, seconded by J. Nice to accept the treasurers’ report as read. All voted aye, motion carried. The following bills were presented for approval US Treasury – 2874.14, taxes, NNPPD –1639.94, elec., NNTC – 206.26, tele/internet, Aramark – 113.46, rugs, L.P Gill – 980.50, landfill, Nebraska Journal Leader – 45.26, pub, Nebraska Public Health Lab – 450.00, tests, Nebraska Dept. of Revenue – 381.72, tax, Payroll Salaries – 13889.64, wages, Countryside Gas & Grocery – 431.51, fuel, Chestermans –7.00, water, One Call Concepts – 160.00, locates, Butch’s Propane – 1020.40, propane, Johnson & Mock – 41.00, legal, Day’s Door – 3370.00, rep. Cardmember Service – 429.16, postage/sup/fuel, NeRWA – 445.00, school, Miller Lumber – 90.54, sup, NE Dept. of Rev. – 1169.57, tax, Ekberg Auto – 120.94, sup, Laurel Ace Hardware – 79.99, supplies, Post Office – 295.00 postage. Motion made by B. Koeppe, seconded by D. Nice to pay the bills as listed. All voted aye, motion carried.
Discussion was held on zoning, planning commission, building garage on lot, dumpster removal, Summer Rec., and water project.
Motion by D. Nice, seconded by J. Nice to approve the proposed 12 blocks of street repairs. All voted aye, motion carried.
Clean up week was discussed it will be May 7th through 13th. Part Time Summer help with discussed.
Motion by D. Nice, seconded by J. Nice to advertise for summer help. All voted aye, motion carried.
Due to meeting with Concord, the May Village Board meeting will begin at 6 p.m.
Being no further business, D. Nice made a motion to adjourn, seconded by J. Nice. All voted aye, motion carried. Meeting adjourned 9:16 p.m. The Board of Trustees of the Village of Allen, Nebraska will meet in regular session at 6:00 p.m. May 13, 2024 in the Village Office.
