BOARD OF TRUSTEES
April 10, 2023
The Village Board of Trustees met in regular session April 10, 2023 at 7:30 p.m. in the Allen Village Office. Chairman Jay Jones called the meeting to order with Trustees Judy Nice, Brett Koeppe, and Dean Chase answering roll. Absent – Doug Ellis. Also present were Alan & Connie Chapman, Kathy Meyer, Rick Chase, Gunner Tracy and Clerk Jean Rahn. Chairman Jones informed the audience where to find the posted copy of the Open Meetings Act. Motion made by Chase, seconded by Nice to approve the minutes of the last meeting. All present voted aye, motion carried. Motion made by Koeppe, seconded by Chase to accept the treasurers’ report as read. All present voted aye, motion carried. The following bills were presented for approval US Treasury – 4259.26 taxes, NNPPD –1639.10 elec., NNTC – 202.60, tele/internet, Aramark – 76.31 rugs, L.P Gill – 1057.23 landfill, Nebraska Journal Leader – 42.04 pub, Nebraska Public Health Lab – 168.00 tests, Nebraska Dept. of Revenue – 377.61 tax, Payroll Salaries – 19060.10 wages, Countryside Gas & Groc – 703.05 fuel, Chestermans –7.00 water, Rick Chase – 52.50 meals, Gunner Tracy – 70.60 sup, NeRWA – 395.00 s school, Share Corp – 1451.17 chem, Municipal Supply – 1560.94 sup, CSL – 1476.49 chem, Butch’s Propane – 1769.95, propane, Laurel Ace Hardware – 157.93 sup, Miller Lumber – 151.97 sup, L. G. Everest – 1671.82 rock, Cardmember Services – 288.58 serv/postage, Cardmember Services – 221.55sup, Nebraska Dept of Revenue – 1298.62 SW, IRS – 1.00 tax. Motion made by Koeppe, seconded by Nice to pay the bills as listed. All present voted aye, motion carried.
Discussions was held concerning property, dogs running, street repair, and shop door.
Pet tags were discussed. Motion by Nice, seconded by Koeppe to give pet tags free for the 2023 year to everyone bringing in proof of vaccination to the Village office. All present voted aye, motion carried. All pets dogs and cats need to be registered at the Village Office.
Village cleanup will be like in the past, dumpsters will be across from the fire hall from May 5th to May 11th. Residents may bring anything they want to get rid up and put it in the dumpsters at time.
Being no further business, Nice made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Koeppe. All present voted aye, motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 8:38 p.m. The Board of Trustees of the Village of Allen, Nebraska will meet in regular session at 7:30 on May 8, 2023 in the Village Office.
